Really share count doesn't mean anything?

That what a managment team that hands shares to themselves for non performance say.

An example of how share count matters, is that POU divested some small assets last week effectively added 60 cents a share.

Share count does not matter, does debt matter, are you one of VII generations management.

Of course share count matters it is important especially when you are sitting on assets worth billions like POU.

1.3 million acres of oil sands and 4 thermal projects in the hopper, with no value given to those assets, POU is worth more then VII generations and the market is just waking up tired of being led off a cliff by nonperforming management teams.

A company trades at a certain valuation. That valuation divided by the number of shares  = the share price. IF a company is worth $5bn and they have 5bn shares, then each share is a buck. It doesn't matter if they have 5bn shares at a buck or 500mm shares at $10. If I want to buy $100K of that company I will get the same % ownership, but the number of shares I own will be different ...more

The only problem it is impossible or almost impossible for a company with 750 million shares to make a significant gain in a short time for the investor, it is a big bloated boat. All they can hope for is macro changes in the enviroment, to many shares and the biggest sharehold is pissed off, and they paid the arx managment team to take over. The likely initiated the deal as they feel the ...more

Hi HoneyPot, Honestly, I don't understand what your concerns are regarding the number of shares in this case??? I have to support Northman here - the market capitalization is the important factor not the number of shares. And of course if the number of shares increase frequently - outside of the context of aqkuisitions of course. Tesla has issued 959 Million shares, Apple has issues 16 ...more

Share count is of the utmost importance. For arc to have been a 150k boe producer with 350 million shares is kind of disappointing. Especially when you consider theyre mostly gas weighted to viis oil and liquids weighting it's.. just not great. I liked vii for the oil exposure. New arc will only be 40% oil/condy/liquids exposure at best. Last thought on the share exchange. Any premium is ...more

That is a great point, if the VII generations were to receive their real value in this merger, and they got 2:1 or even 1.5:1 the share count would be approaching a billion shares. LOL LOL LOL CPP was deperate not only to get rid of VII generations management, but the entire culture of the VII generations company.  Rather then telling share hold this baloney,  The ...more
