Finally the company is getting things right

The the next 2 qtr's look very promising. With much of the cost cutting and technology savings starting to show, plus the extra revenue streams beginning to kick in this month the future is bright. The company has a much better focus now (grow in the west) plus they have learned not to over -promise. I expect them to surprise on the upside and also to introduce their first dividend at year end. If they beat their earnings numbers and continue to show strong growth they can always call it a "special" dividend before deciding if they want to pay it every qtr.

Next quarter (3rd) will likely be much better than last year from probably down about $700,000 in EBITDA and $800,000 in AFFO from 2nd quarter. These are the historical downturns in the 3rd quarter due to summer holidays. Some of their cost cuttings may cushion is downturn. However, I agree with your optimism going forward. Patience for sure. Even though all the news is positive, and the financials continue to improve...the street wants to see the proof first. Like real share repurchases (buybacks) and bottom line profit, plus a sustained real growth strategy. A real show me story. And if BPE can show this the next 2 qtr's....then this stock can really run a long way. If they do what they say their going to ...more

In my opinion the new CEO has demonstrated that she is capable of ensuring that the company will do what it says it will do. I think the big overhang is still the market's perception of the uncertainty to growth that the Ontario government created with funding daycare for kindergarten aged children in schools. My own view on that is that it obviously decreased the size of BPE's market in ...more

Some very good points. However, I believe that BPE is focused out west, as they should be, not because of government policy, but because of the strong economy and future growth, esp. in Alberta. They should focus on high - end markets such as Edmonton & Calgary and be very selective out East. BPE also focuses more on the middle to lower upper end of the daycare market.
