It is getting busier, poise, and that's for sure. An oilfield buddy came up from the USA through Cardston and said the Murphy well was flaring it's production test with about a "60 foot lazy, wide, rolling orange flare" out of the top of a hellish tall flare stack. This well is in Range 25 and within sight of Cardston to the South of the well, and another rig drilling a few ...more

FACT: Murphy released info about the well you are talking about. 350 brl per day through a small choke. Back drilling South of Standoff.          Dee Three released numbers on latest Bakken well at 500 brls plus per day. Brought 2nd rig in to do more Bakken wells.    ARGOSY released numbers on latest Bakken well at 500 brls plus per day. Plans on drilling more ...more

Yes it is nice to see all the other drilling chaps finding oil.....it would be even nicer if Bowood could get some of their own to the surface ...wouldn't it...

lol.......they have it coming to surface alright. They just haven't told us how much. Don't you like the suspence, and surprises?

Funny Sonny.....no I actually think if they had a significant amount...they would get it out there....especially if they have put themselves up for sale as it seems....why hide good news....

Given the exploratory and speculative nature of the AB Bakken, I am almost certain that there would be some confidentiality clauses in the farm in/out deal with LEG... Of course the confidentiality on many of the Bakken  wells from last year will be dropping shortly (by MID summer I would suspect EVERYONE  is going to have a good handle on what is and is NOT working as far as completions ...more

I believe that with Legacy as the operator, they would be in control of any news releases as it relates to the JV with BWD on the Blood Lands. I'm curious to see where the locations are on any new licenses issued. Alberta Bakken is a fresh new play and they will go through some growing pains. Raven's post pretty much tells the tale as it exists now
