It produces refined zinc metal and by-products from sourced zinc concentrates. The fund's long-term objective is to maximize unitholder value and provide monthly distributions to unitholders.

Assuming that the cost/benefit analysis of cell replacement makes more sense than plant replacement, it looks like a "no brainer" to proceed with the upgrade but I imagine that GC would not ...more

The Hobart zinc smelter has a nameplate capacity of about 280,000 tpa, very close to Noranda's 270,000.  Hobart's annual energy costs were stated to be $75 million which is almost twice ...more

Noranda had 21 days to respond.  If they do not , then the other shareholder group can call for a meeting to change the board composition.  Will probably be well into 2023.
