You dont need to cover the 8% yield on the short.  You can just short it now for any amount over 10.50 and cover within a month by participating in any ot the offering at 10.50 $300 million in ...more

most of the big issues in the recent past have gone below their issue price. Will likely happen for this one also.  Good luck covering the 8% yield on your short.
