Been hearing the same old song and dance since last fall,  cuts are coming very soon,  then   inflation and jobs  data delays the cuts.. Price of oil drops and everything looks ...more

LFE UNIT NAV TO May 8 = approx; $ 14.93

LFE has gained approx: 58 cents since the udpate April 30th.  Not too much of a stretch to think that LFE may be paying to commons again this month.

I do believe the big 4 CAD lifecos have  Q dividends adding up to $2.56   in total. MFC 40 cents, SLF  78 cents IAG 82 cents and GWO 56 cents.. altho that was last Q ...Those will be ...more

Inflation is sub 3% here, I believe Tiff is comfortable with a small tick up if it means giving the economy an adrenaline shot with a rate cut. The US will cut soon too, so it wll eventually even out.

So only about 6 more pennies to gain, for the threshhold for paying.  Spreadsheet showing a gain of 59 cents, since April 30.

Certainly if you go back 60 years the rates were higher...  his history must be  only about 20 years for him. I do believe the interest rate did spike up above 6% briefly around the   ...more

Financials once again pull back LFE unit nav @ $14.85

And the lifecos get sold off as they are associated with financial splits.. and they had a big runup since the Month of may began. LFE has only gained 50 cents  in UNIT NAV now , since the April ...more

MFC reports tomorrow, SLF and IAG on thursday

These reports should highlight the better environment for lifecos with higher for longer interest rates..

LFE unit nav in realtime @ $14.97

So every stock is in green numbers , but not as big of a move as the last few days.  However the  NAV of the commons has gained   over 14 % in a week.

LFE U IT NAV closes MAY 06 @ $14.91

Spreadsheet showing a gain of 56 cents since the UPDATE a week ago on April 30.  LFE commons have gained about 11% since that date, in capital gains. I suspect if tomorrow open hot LFE may gain ...more

Realtime LFE unit nav now @ $14.92...

I guess the market is NOT waiting for the Q reports,  LFE has gained 57 cents since the April 30th update... probably get to 15$ tomorrow... lol
