It seems to me that your shortcut is quick. Yes rates will gradually drop, but insurance company investments are not made just for one year at a time. I believe that they are currently taking ...more

With a BoC June cut very likely now, anyone opening a new position here looks dicey even with the tempting NAV discount. It's currently under the threshold for paying now and the lifecos will face ...more

LFE unit nav to April 5 = approx: $14.99

Showing a loss of 20 cents now, as the UNIT NAV pulled back about 5 cents in the last hour or so of trading.

Yes MFC up over 1% so far today, and all holdings are up excpet for TD , which is down very little and is a very small holding. Realtime UNIT NAV now @ approx: $15.04.. some buyers now are   ...more

Sharp drop in LFE this week. Some are worried that they won't receive their dividends. There are still long days to go and, fortunately, mfc is in good shape this morning.

I should say I think bank investors are mostly long term holders. Some got scared out last year and they are gradually getting back in.  The sky didn't fall after all.
