very funny, there is no intersection between the terms "payout ratio" and " splitshares". If you are not looking at total return you are looking at the wrong thing.

Maybe experts like Mouserman ca n answer this question, but how does LFE finance a 24% dividend yield? Granted it has not pay a dividend for many months, but I cannot find information on its payout ...more

LFE unit nav to May17 = approx: $15.28

Spreadsheet showing a gain of 28 cents since the udpate to the 15th, but  have adjusted the cash position to a  higher %,, but there may have been a major change in some weightings. Will ...more

Quadravest updated MAY 15 @ $15

WOW , not sure what happened with this spreadsheet , and can only guess some options  activity, or a greater cash position suddenly at the 15th. I was 11 cents high.  Most I have been off ...more

LFE unit nav has gained 25 cents since MAy 15 ....

Update will be out tonight , but this is looking really good for LFE and the insurers. Even the 3 CAD banks all joining in the gains. My guess is about $15.11 for the update number to MAY 15 so UNIT ...more

Of course it gives the NAV a boost as the main holdings MFC and SLF are about 57 % of the fund. So  just those 2  should amount to about 10 cents gain in UNIT NAV at minimum in the next 2 ...more

LFE all holdings in green today

$ CAD lifecos, $ US insurers and the 3 CAD banks all are up this am... LFE not getting much respect as  it stays flat today. BUT many of the paying Quadravest split funds are trading at discounts ...more

Mouserman - yeah but to your earlier point, if it is paying out at close 25%....one would expect buying not selling. I made four round trips on LCE last Fall where it dropped to 5 or high 4s and ...more
