Hilarious LCS down 4% but NAV up today

So far IAG is up more than SLF is  down, and   the other 2 are even or up a bit... WHy would anyone dump this paying split fund common? People still dont get it apparently. Discount to NAV ...more

splits are closed end funds, and that's why nav is different from selling price. This one has a discount probably because it's record of paying has been spotty. Others are trading at ...more

I am not familiar with split funds. I see most on this board refer to the NAV of the fund which seems to be around $15.65 (according to posts)   And yet the actual trading price is around $5.70.  ...more

SO spreadsheet was a penny high, and perhaps LCS has gone to a bit more cash.. after collecting the divvies. No trading  interest again today  in this name to start the day.

So even on exdivvy day GWO managed to finish above yesterdays close., so after distriubtions to commons LCS nav for commons should be about  $5.61 But not sure if Brompton accounted for the cash ...more

Not much action in LCS, but the bid/ask has jumped.

Stockwatch is only showing a handful of trades around $5.52 on the ATS, and nothing on the TSX... BUT current bid./ask on the TD platform is showing $5.60/$5.67... you are going to have to pay to get ...more

So GWO went ex divvy today and 52 cents was deducted from the trading price on my TD trading platform. So have to add on 52 cents to the holding amount on LCS since it translates into cash.. LCS loses ...more

Look at the charts: this year BK has been quite stable and LCS extremely volatile, partly because it was close to the $15 red line for payouts
