LCS continued to be discounted

LCS one of the few trading at a discount with over $1.50 of coverage for paying distributions.  may be the only one......  IAG bouncing back a bit after yesterdays takedown, and at this ...more

Dumping on IAG knocks LCS UNIT NAV TO $16.58 @JULY25

For some reason IAG took quite a hiut today, not sure what that was about, as i dont see any negative news. MFC and SLF both up today, but not enough to make up for IAG losses.

Don't muddy the water if you don't know.  To get the div, you need to buy the day before exdivvy. That's entirely separate from what I said about when to sell and keep the dividends.& ...more

LCS unit nav =in realtime @ $16.68

Now with a gain of 11 cents since the update. Distributions are adding up to 26 cents this month, so commons value here would be $6.42 after those are accounted for. 3 of the 4 lifecos up today.

It is exactly opposite to that... x dividend date is the date if buying  that you WOULD NOT get the distribution for that month.

You need to have possession of the shares on the opening on the record date. In other words, they need to be bought at the latest on the Ex-Dividend Date, which is the business day before the record ...more

I think you have to sell the day before the X-div date to get the div. Ie that's why it's called X Alder

If you sell on exdiv day, you still get the dividends.   Thats the day before date of record.  But LCS has been rising nicely,  so maybe let this winner run.

I'm curious, how do you know which day you need to be owning the commons to receive the distribution? If I look on the fund page is shows Record Date: July 31, 2023 -- Payment Date: Aug 15, 2023. ...more

LCS unit NAV to July 24 =$16.66

So backed off end of day to settle @$16.66 unit nav. After distributions the NAV of the commons would be $4.40. Almost trading right at NAV...

LCS unit nav to JULY 21 = approx: $16.68

SO before distributions to be paid in August, LCS commons have a value of 6.68... and and gained 11 cents since the updated numbers to the the 20th. Trading at quite a discount... and i liked it ...more

But it's not just a good couple of days, the unit nav on ffn has increased by almost a dollar from its low point and is now within 0.7 cents of paying distributions for the commons. Furthermore ...more

So amazingly not getting any buying despite the huge gains in the past week.
