SLF hammered down over 4%

Apparently beating the analysts estimates average by only 1 penny , instigates a big selloff, as shorts jump on board and make the carnage look bigger. Results were actually good. However, the chart ...more

Mixed bag reaction to the Q results, and i find the selling in GWO and SLF a bit surprising. BUT as I say after a big runup, the reports would have to be out of this world ( like MFC's ) to get a ...more

So far,  so good from the Q and yearend reports. I dont see a sell on news happening, but who knows , i could be wrong. The big 4 CAD lifecos have been on quite a run.  If this keeps up LFE ...more

Bought 4K shares @ 5.43 to go along with my 1K shares at 4.83 (Jan 23).  How has this discount not caught on yet with others?  Running too close to the NAV cutoff? Unclear due to lifecos ...more

Early in the morning... NAV continues to climb today. It's surprising LFE continues to trade at such a discount.

 Well my spreadsheet says UNIT NAV now @ $17.73 , and LFE has gained about 37 cents since the JAN 31 update. So would have to go up a lot to get a 10% + premium that would be required for an ...more

The question is until WHEN will it last? Will numbers go up to the $7-8s, or will we have a lot of overnight offerings when premiums get too high? Oh the fun of splitshares.

I had sold some too, with a decent gain.  The insurance Cos are included in the other splits, so we are fully invested in them through other baskets. Not sure why this continues to trade at such ...more
